FAQ’s
-
What’s included in a ROAR! mural package?
All mural packages include artwork design, client liaison, public liability insurance, WWVP checks, and painting materials. For groups larger than 20 participants, a painting assistant is added for $500 per day of on-site workshops.
-
Do you offer funding support or project consultancy?
Yes. We offer grant writing, funding guidance, and project consultancy to help bring ideas to life. Because every project is different, we tailor our support to your goals and capacity.
-
How do the co-created murals work?
Co-created murals are designed with your community or school to raise youth voices, foster collaboration, and create lasting impact. We guide participants through design and painting workshops, ensuring everyone can contribute meaningfully, regardless of skill level.
-
What’s the difference between an artists mural and a co-created mural?
An artists mural is a solo artwork designed and painted by one of our team, often inspired by site research and community themes. A co-created mural, on the other hand, is a collaborative process where the community helps design and paint the work. These murals use simplified designs and clean shapes so that everyone can participate confidently.
-

How involved can we be in the design process?
We encourage collaboration at every stage. You can choose to participate in co-design workshops, contribute ideas, or simply provide feedback during development. We ensure the final design reflects your story, values, and place.

Do you offer workshops or artist talks?
Yes. We run creative workshops and talks for schools, organisations, and community groups. These sessions can also be tailored to focus on leadership, wellbeing, or team-building.
-
What’s the best way to fund a mural or community art project?
There are several options:
Grants: We can apply for arts, wellbeing, or community grants on your behalf.
Corporate sponsorship: Local businesses often support community-led art.
School budgets: Many schools allocate funding to creative or wellbeing programs.
Community fundraising: A great way to build ownership and excitement.
We’ll help identify the best pathway to suit your timeline and budget. -
Can we include guest speakers or local stories in our project?
Absolutely. Where budget allows, we recommend involving a local hero, First Nations Elder, or field specialist to share relevant knowledge or stories that enrich the mural’s theme and deepen community impact.
