School Mural Packages that Empower & Inspire Youth

Young people are facing record levels of stress, disconnection and screen fatigue, and it shows in our schools and communities. Creativity offers a way back: a way to reconnect, collaborate and take pride in shaping something real together.

That’s where we come in.

The ROAR! Collective makes it easy for teachers, youth workers and community leaders to deliver meaningful, youth-led mural projects with lasting impact.

Our co-created mural packages combine over a decade of successful programs into ready-to-run options designed to:

  • Build confidence, teamwork and creative leadership

  • Strengthen school and community culture

  • Promote inclusion, wellbeing and local pride

  • Leave a visible legacy of shared stories and collaboration

Each mural is more than a painting, it’s a collective act of change. When we create together, we all become part of something bigger: a movement of young voices shaping their world through art.

How It Works

We’ve made it simple to bring your community’s story to life. Whether you’re a teacher, youth worker or project facilitator, our co-created mural packages are designed to guide you every step of the way, from theme selection to project facilitation.

Together, we’ll turn your idea into a vibrant public artwork that reflects your community and empowers the young people within it.

Step 1: Choose a Theme

  • Promoting mental health and emotional well-being through mindful art-making, participants learn mindfulness techniques by creating a calming mural that enhances their environment and supports community cohesion. Particularly beneficial for at-risk youth and those needing support.

  • This theme engages students in climate or environmental issues through creative activism. Participants explore expressive themes and celebrate aligned values, culminating in a mural that advocates for - or celebrates - change and raises awareness.

  • This theme shares stories and experiences to foster dialogue and connection among students. Students develop storytelling skills, creating a mural that visually captures their collective narratives and promotes resilience. Great for LBGTQI+, Diversity, cultural values or local hero’s and geological features.

  • Empowering students through leadership training and collaborative mural creation. Participants engage with local hero’s where possible, developing skills and confidence while creating a mural or collective creation that reflects their stories and leadership journey.

  • Structuring projects around significant calendar events (e.g., Earth Day, Science Week, school fetes). Participants create artwork that celebrates the day’s theme, fostering community spirit and awareness.
